A collar with three settings
Zip it to the top and it is a funnel neck that tucks under a coat collar. Open it two inches and it is a stand collar sitting over a shirt. Open it wide and it becomes a cardigan with a deep V — which is why a half zip gets worn more often than the sweater it replaced.
Brushed, not smooth
The surface of this knit is raised rather than flat. Brushing does two things: it traps air in the cloth, which is where the warmth actually lives, and it softens the colour, so the red reads as brick and the blue as ink rather than as pure pigment. It is also why the knit will bloom slightly with wear.
Two words for one fibre
The stall’s own title says 羊绒 — cashmere — and 羊毛, wool, in the same line, and nowhere on the listing is there a percentage or a test. We have quoted both words as the stall’s claim rather than picking the more flattering one, and the composition is marked DETAILS TO BE CONFIRMED until a label says otherwise.
