A broken-herringbone blazer in a wool blend, cut a little long in olive brown — the kind of jacket that is doing its work when nobody notices it is doing anything.

The Story
Why this object exists
Narrative · Silhouette → Fabric → Fit → Detail → Movement → Lifestyle
The break is the point
A plain twill runs its diagonal in one direction all the way across the cloth. A herringbone reverses it on a counted beat, which is why the surface has a chevron in it. Two consequences follow: the cloth catches light unevenly, so a jacket in it reads darker or lighter depending on how you stand, and it takes a crease far less visibly than a flat weave.
A jacket that does not announce itself
No brass, no crest, no breast pocket flash, no shoulder built out past the shoulder. Two buttons, two flap pockets, a soft line from lapel to hem. It is the sort of jacket that gets worn twice a week for years precisely because there is nothing on it to date.
Wool blend is a claim, not a label
The stall names 羊毛混纺 wool blend and prints no percentage beside it, and there is no fibre label in any photograph. We have written the claim as the stall makes it and left the composition open — a jacket at this price is unlikely to be pure wool, and we would rather say so than print a number nobody gave us.
Actually, why this one?
Why We Chose It
Because the cloth is doing the work instead of a logo — a broken herringbone woven small enough to read as texture — and because the stall photographed it plainly on one model in the single colourway it actually sells.
Not everything. Only what’s worth owning.
We find beautiful, interesting and meaningful things worth owning — fashion, objects and gifts.

Care
- Wool likes air more than it likes water: brush it down and hang it to breathe after wearing, and the dry clean will come round far less often.
- When it does need cleaning, this is a dry-clean jacket — no machine wash, no tumble dryer, no bleach, and no iron pressed flat onto the cloth.
- Hang it on a broad wooden hanger so the shoulders keep their line, and give it a day between wearings.
- The stall publishes no care label with this listing, so these are the terms the cloth asks for in general rather than a label we can quote.
